It is ture that I love the Shaun White with all my heart. One day we well be married and everyone is invited to come. My brides maids will be of course my best friends Rachael and Hannah and Bethany. My colors well be a light green and a light pick and possible a dark purpleish blue color.
On the note of snowboarding (since Shaun White is so amazing) I am hoping to go up again this season!!! (HINT: That was dierected towards my lovely parents) I want to go given the fact the A-Basin is open for atleast another month. Well thats all for now.
And also if any one here has any advise on the media influence on teenagers i would like any input. I am writting a huge report so i would like some help.

Have you seen the Tag commercials? That is the influence the media would like to have on teenagers. But you know what? Teenagers will always be dumber than the media would like :-P
Except for my brilliant sister that is :-)
Some elements of the media want everyone to be overwhelmed with pop culture and selfish, live-for-the-moment over-indulgence. I feel there are also responsible, respectible media elements out there.
Unfortunately, adults too seem to fall victim to the drug of pop-culture. It seems teenagers are especially suspectible to becoming slaves to the media's influence because of their insatiable need for acceptance by the world they see on TV, which is more of an illusion and myth than a reality.
Teenagers don't realize it, but I think that they are as impressionable as little kids and soak up the attitudes and behaviors of the world in which they are immersed. A 14 year old just does it with a lot more attitude and in a more irreversible manner than a 6 year old.

Oh, yeah,
Megan, don't be a slave!
Oh man.... this guy looks like me with red hair!?!?!?!!!

Megan, relative to your teenager and media question...I wish that someone would have explained the word "pander" to me when I was your age, so here goes:
Pander: To cater to the lower tastes and desires of others or exploit their weaknesses: "He refused to pander to nostalgia and escapism" (New York Times).
In other words, don't let anyone (especially those who want your money) try to make you feel insecure about yourself.
Now as far as Shaun White is concerned, I would have to agree that he does look rather like your eldest brother / mu husband, albeit younger, redheaded and with a more expensive set of teeth (sorry, Matt but it's true). But Shaun also reminds me a bit of Carrottop, though, and Carrottop creeps me out. Either way, I'll stick with Matt. :-)
Shaun White-- a nice kid, a great Olmpyian, and a weird looking dude.
I'm not seeing too much of the Matt resemblance.
Megan: Heres'a a suggestion, not to belittle you, but to help you: find your depth of character, your inspiration, your loves in the wide world of books, history, art, good music. Become a woman of culture. All of your favorite actors/groups/shows will be completely forgotten in a few years, so do not invest yourself deeply in them.
Who remembers Kirk Cameron, Debbie Gibson, or Poison? Some of us do, but only with self-effacing laughs. They were flashes in the pan when we were your age, but at the time they seemed like the only thing that mattered.
Fall in love with Shakespeare, will Steinbeck, with Van Gogh, with Bach, with Robert Frost . . .
these have and will stand the test of time.
Even more recent things will do the same . . . the Beatles, John Denver, etc.
You get what I mean. Be your BEST self, your FUTURE self, and try to shrug off the insignificant, trivial aspects of modern culture that you are innundated with.
You have greatness and depth within you, Meg! Dig deep within yourself to find it, and find joy in the digging!
